Synth
Synth is one of the systems in Unnamed Space Idle, unlocked on reaching sector 2. Here players can create various materials that can be used to create and upgrade Modules that will provide significant boosts to different gameplay aspects.
Players start with 1 Synth slot and a minimal set of recipes. As materials are being crafted players will get experience for that recipe, which will increase its level. This unlocks new recipes and modules, grants synth points, and improves the material and time requirement to craft the material itself. At max level the material usually switches to infinite production.
Synth points can be spent on various upgrades, which boost different systems. Both Synth point upgrades and recipe levels are permanent and carry over through Prestige. Modules reset, but automatically get leveled to the highest material tier that has been made infinite.
Synth Slots[edit | edit source]
Players start with 1 Synth Slot, and can unlock more up to a maximum of 4:
- 1 Synth Slot is unlocked from Synth point upgrades.
- 1 Synth Slot is unlocked through material research.
- 1 Synth Slot is unlocked through the Warp Drive.
Synth Speed[edit | edit source]
Synth speed is what allows you to craft higher and higher tiers of materials in reasonable times. It divides the time requirement by itself, meaning a material taking 100 seconds will only take 10 seconds with a Synth speed of 10. There are multiple ways to increase Synth speed, but the further in the game players get the more important it becomes to fully focus on it to make any meaningful progress.

There are a variety of upgrades to be bought with Synth points, which affect most areas of the game. Players will naturally unlock all Synth point upgrades throughout their playthrough, although the order in which they are unlocked can affect progression speed.

These upgrades can be maxed around the time players infinite all T8 materials, meaning synth points obtained from T9 materials will have no immediate use.
After reaching sector 75, an additional set of Synth point upgrades will be available to buy. Repeatable upgrades cap at level 50 instead of 10.

Recipes for sector 75+[edit | edit source]
These materials don't automatically reach infinite production upon reaching their max level. Instead they become infinite by leveling the material they unlock. Exceptions are Experimental Material, Void Culture, T11 Control Surface, and Cryogenic Modulator. Unlike other recipes, Experimental Material will increase its time cost as it levels up.

Modules[edit | edit source]
Modules are dynamic boosts to various systems that the player can toggle on or off at will. Each module active at a given time requires a free module slot. They can be upgraded using higher-tier materials, and each upgrade costs twice the previous amount. If all resources required for a tier are infinite, the module automatically upgrades to that tier on prestige.

Fixtures[edit | edit source]
Fixtures are an addition to the Synth system unlocked upon reaching sector 76. They are intended to provide a use for the system while not actively synthing, and it's therefore best to focus on them when not focusing on Synth. They act like Synth point upgrades that need a certain time to create.
Fixtures can be leveled repeatedly, up to a maximum of level 35, and are self multiplicative. Fixtures aren't affected by Synth speed at all, instead they have their own Fixture Creation Speed which can be increased by Synth point upgrades, leveling the sector 75+ materials, Massive Warp Drive, Capital/Specimen Research, as well as the T7 Synth Shard. They start out taking two hours each, and the time requirement doubles each level.

Fixtures do not reset on prestige.
Second Row Fixtures[edit | edit source]
Clearing BB1 in UNND-GLX-z107-2 for the first time unlocks the second row of fixtures. These work the same way as first rows except that their creation time at level 0 is 2.00e14 seconds(slightly lower than what a level 36 fixture in row 1 would cost).
The first 6 fixtures have the same effects as the first row and the 7th to 10th are replaced by:
- Pulverium Gain - Pulverium Amount Multiplier x1.3
- Fortifium Gain - Fortifium Amount Multiplier x1.3
- Adaptium Gain - Adaptium Amount Multiplier x1.3
- Specimen Research - Bonus to Specimen Research x1.5
