Guide:Base 6 Setup
Read at your own discretion.
This article will guide you through the process of building up Base 6, unlocking all slots, and properly placing buildings in each slot at different stages to optimize and speed up the base development.
Base 6 is unlocked upon reinforcing 5 times, and then finalizing bases 1-5. It grants a fleet artifacts gained multiplier.
Base 6 is a bit different from the earlier Bases. Each resource has its own Booster tile, and there are no Drainer tiles. There are also no ways to boost the speed of Base 6, except for one permanent Artifact upgrade in Galaxy 4. On the plus side, Base 6 does not reset on Reinforce.
Since Mats tiles have their own Booster tiles that also cost Mats, the Mats and Parts feedback loop from Bases 2-5 is not present for Base 6. You no longer need to dip into Parts from time to time while pushing your Mats.
This guide covers the unlock order for Base 6, and the optimal layout for each step. It also includes a few steps to focus on Component output to boost the Artifact output from Galaxy 4. However, the late game section related to unlocking tiles that cost 1e14 or more Mats or Parts is still a work in progress.
Unlocking Tiles[edit source]
This guide splits the unlocking of tiles up into 7 steps. For each step, the general advise is to purchase all the tiles indicated by that step, before (Base) Prestiging to unlock those steps.
You also need around 5 steps to cover the tiles that cost 1e14 or more Mats or Parts. Following this guide, you'll need around 12 total (Base) Prestiges to unlock every single tile.
You can (Base) Prestige more often to immediately take advantage of unlocked tiles. For example, during step 1, you could purchase the four 1e6 Mats tiles at the top, Prestige to unlock these tiles, and use those tiles to unlock the tiles at the bottom a little faster. However, the improvements gained from these smaller (Base) Prestiges are often marginal.
On the other hand, you can combine steps to (Base) Prestige less often. For example, after purchasing all 1e6 Mats tiles indicated by step 1, you could continue with steps 2 and 3, and only (Base) Prestige after also purchasing all 1e6 Parts tiles. Do note that since you'll have fewer tiles, and are likely to get fewer Booster synergies, this can slow you down a lot.
If you still have a lot of Base Prestige consumables from the bonus consumables during earlier Reinforces, these are of course the most comfortable option to unlock the tiles you purchased. However, if you don't have enough of these, or prefer to hang onto them in case there will be a Base 7 at some point, it's probably not worth buying them, as they cost more than two Time Skip consumables. It's rare that a single Time Skip consumable can't get you back to where you were before you prestiged. The big exception of course is when you're sitting on a lot of sleeves for Crew Supremacy.
Galaxy 4 Specific Notes[edit source]
The recommended route is to Reinforce around S109 to earn enough Fleet Resources to comfortably complete Galaxy 4, and then Reinforce again when Galaxy 4 is completed and all Artifact upgrades are purchased, to gain these bonuses. Since you need to Reinforce to gain the Galaxy 4 Artifact upgrades, there is little reason to push past S100, which is the minimum sector to reinforce.
If you pushed into Galaxy 4 before Reinforcing around S109, try to spend all your Artifacts on the Fleet Base upgrade. This will help you develop Base 6 while you work on Galaxy 4. You don't need any of the other bonuses to reach S100. However, if you don't have enough Artifacts to purchase this upgrade, then don't hold off Reinforcing for it.
Since you only need to reach S100 to Reinforce and obtain the Galaxy 4 Artifact upgrades, there is no downside to Prestiging often, as there is no progress to lose. During this Reinforce, you should Prestige every time you unlock a single tile, even if it is an insignificant boost to your Base 6 Development progress.
Players often defeat all the bases in Galaxy 4 long before they earned enough Artifacts to purchase all the upgrades, and then have to make a lot of additional runs just to farm these upgrades. Since Base 6 boosts the Artifacts gained from these runs, it's recommended to dip into Component production to reduce the number of Artifact runs you need to make.
If you already completed Galaxy 4, or complete Galaxy 4 before you reach step 6 of this guide, you can skip steps 4 to 6, and continue focusing on developing the Base.
Early Development[edit source]
Step 1
Enable the Mats and Mats Booster autobuyers, and disable the Parts autobuyer. Produce Mats to level up the Mats and Mats Booster tiles, and purchase the 8 tiles that cost 1e6 Mats. Then, Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles.
Step 2
Enable the Mats, Mats Booster and Parts autobuyers. Continue producing Mats to level up the Parts tiles. When the next level of Parts tiles is taking too long, continue to step 3.
Step 3
Enable the Parts Booster autobuyer, and disable the Component and Component Booster autobuyers. Produce Parts to level up the Parts Booster tiles, and purchase the 4 tiles that cost 1e6 Parts. Then, Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles.
Galaxy 4 Push[edit source]
If you are still working on Galaxy 4, then it's time to focus on Components to increase the amount of Artifacts gained per Galaxy 4 run, and thus reduce the number of Galaxy 4 runs required to purchase all Artifact upgrades. If you already completed Galaxy 4 or are very close to completing Galaxy 4, skip steps 4-6 and continue with step 7.
Step 4
Enable all autobuyers. Produce Mats to level up the Parts tiles. When the next level of Parts tiles is taking too long, continue to step 5.
Step 5
Leave all autobuyers enabled. Produce Parts to level up the Parts Booster, Components and Components Booster tiles. When the next level of Components and Components Booster tiles are taking too long, continue to step 6.
Step 6
Produce Components to increase the Artifact gain. When you complete Galaxy 4, or when the bonus is no longer improving, continue to step 7.
Post Galaxy 4 Development[edit source]
Step 7
Enable the Mats and Mats Booster autobuyers, and disable the Parts autobuyer. Produce Mats to level up the Mats and Mats Booster tiles, and purchase the 2 tiles that cost 2e9 Mats on row 3 column 3 and row 6 column 8. Then, Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles. These 2 tiles provide a significant boost to your Mats production, and make it a lot faster to buy the remaining six tiles that cost 2e9 Mats.
Step 8
Continue producing Mats to purchase the remaining 6 tiles that cost 2e9 Mats. Then Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles.
Step 9
Enable the Mats, Mats Booster and Parts autobuyers. Continue producing Mats to level up the Parts tiles. When the next level of Parts tiles is taking too long, continue to step 10.
Step 10
Enable the Parts Booster autobuyer. Produce Parts to level up the Parts Booster tiles, and purchase the 4 tiles that cost 1e9 Parts. Then, Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles.
Step 11
Enable the Mats and Mats Booster autobuyers, and disable the Parts autobuyer. Produce Mats to level up the Mats and Mats Booster tiles, and purchase the 4 tiles that cost 1e11 Mats. Then, Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles.
Step 12
Enable the Mats, Mats Booster and Parts autobuyers. Continue producing Mats to level up the Parts tiles. When the next level of Parts tiles is taking too long, continue to step 13.
Step 13
Enable the Parts Booster autobuyer. Produce Parts to level up the Parts Booster tiles, and purchase the 2 tiles that cost 5e10 Parts. Then, Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles.
Unstable Transit Push[edit source]
At this point, unlocking the next tiles takes a very long time. While the bonuses from Unstable Transit are often considered insignificant, since it takes such a long time to unlock the next tiles, now would be a good time to focus on Components to increase the amount of Artifacts gained from Unstable Transit.
Step 14
Enable all autobuyers. Produce Mats to level up the Parts tiles. When the next level of Parts tiles is taking too long, continue to step 15.
Step 15
Leave all autobuyers enabled. Produce Parts to level up the Parts Booster, Components and Components Booster tiles. When the next level of Components and Components Booster tiles are taking too long, continue to step 16.
Step 16
Produce Components to increase the Artifact gain. When the bonus is no longer improving, continue to step 17.
Late-Game Development[edit source]
When you feel like you're no longer making any meaningful progress to the bonus to Fleet Artifacts, it is time to focus on unlocking the remaining tiles. This will be a very slow progress, with the next unlock step taking around 2 weeks.
Step 17
Enable the Mats and Mats Booster autobuyers, and disable the Parts autobuyer. Produce Mats to level up the Mats and Mats Booster tiles. When the Mats tiles reach level 107, disable the Mats autobuyer, but keep the Mats Booster autobuyer active.
Purchase the 2 tiles that cost 1e14 Mats in the top right corner. Then, Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles. These 2 tiles provide a significant boost to your Mats production, and make it a lot faster to buy the remaining six tiles that cost 1e14 Mats.
Step 18
Leave the Mats and Parts autobuyers disabled, and continue producing Mats to purchase the 2 tiles that cost 1e14 Mats in the bottom left corner. Then, Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles. These 2 tiles provide a decent boost to your Mats production, though not as big as the tiles from Step 17.
Step 19
Enable the Mats and Mats Booster autobuyers, and disable the Parts autobuyer. Produce Mats to level up the Mats tiles, and purchase the remaining 4 tiles that cost 1e14 Mats. Then Prestige or use a Base Prestige consumable to unlock these tiles.
Step 20
Enable the Mats, Mats Booster and Parts autobuyers. Continue producing Mats to level up the Parts tiles. When the next level of Parts tiles is taking too long, continue to step 21.
Step 21
